The Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammed al-Khwarizmi participates in such international projects in cooperation with the Oldenburg University named after Karl von Osetskiy:
- Smart Modeling (between Urgench branch of TUIT and Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany) – The project aims at developing Internet of Things (IoT) applications (i.e., smart x – smart home, smart city, smart car, smart grid, etc.) using modern software engineering and modeling trends such as model-driven software engineering and development, service-oriented architectures, component-based software development and collaborative modeling, etc.
On June 22-28, 2019, a workshop was held in the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarazmi within the framework of the Smart Modeling project, sponsored by the German Ministry of Federal Education and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the workshop is the development of scientific and technical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany.
- SuMoCoS (between Urgench branch of TUIT and Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg) – Sustainability and Mobility in the Context of Smart Cities – This project intends to develop scientific and technological foundations for developing and maintaining software applications and platforms in the context of smart cities. Among others, the projects focuses more on sustainable development of smart city and mobility applications.
As part of the project, on October 7-12, 2019, an international conference “Smart city” was held in Tashkent. Organizers: University of Oldenburg (Germany), Council of Young Scientists of TUIT, Samarkand, Nukus and Urgench Branches of TUIT. The purpose of the training seminar is the exchange of international experience and the further strengthening of cooperation under the Smart city program for university teachers and employees of subordinate enterprises of the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
