About Our University
In the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, personnel are trained in such areas as Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunication Technologies, Information Security and Professional Training in the Field of ICT, as well as undergraduates in "Computer Engineering” and “Telecommunication Engineering”. The branch has 1,037 students and 20 undergraduates. The branch has 2 faculties and 6 departments.
An extraordinary meeting was held at the Urgench branch of TUIT named after Muhammed al-Khwarezmi. The meeting was dedicated to the theme "Fight against corruption".
Chairman of the meeting M.I. Baydjanov made a speech on the tasks given at the videoconference session titled "Discussing the corruption cases, their reasons and conditions in the system of Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education" of the Republican Interdepartmental Commission on Fighting against Corruption.
The second meeting of the Khorezm Regional Council of People's Deputies was held on February 4, 2020 in Urgench. The meeting addressed a number of important issues.
On January 2020 Jumaniyazov Nizomjon, Associate Professor of the Department of Natural and Professional Sciences of Urgench Branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi has started his academic enrichment internship at the prestigious Gonzaga University, which is situated in Spokane, Washington, USA, based on the Faculty Enrichment Program, jointly organized by the US Embassy in Uzbekistan and American Councils for International Education.
